Nice to stamp you !

During the second half of the 2014 I cooperate with Japanese artist based in Den Haag (NL) Masaaki Oyamada. During this period I created the book as final form of his project Nice to stamp you. The project is focused on capturing the individual essence of each person, Masaaki was interviewing, to unique form of handcrafted stamp. This project, and idea in general, is so special, that we decided to keep its final form - book, in minimalistic design, to point on important content - stamps.

Book consists of 111 persons each one with their individual stamp divided into four section - four seasons, as the project is running since 2012 and stamps have different dates, we agreed that this will be the best way to arrange them. Each season has different color and type of paper to show some kind of timeline.

The best way to keep the individuality and amazing craftmanship of each stamp, was to create handmade book with simple layout, but with accent on the small details. (for exaplme font is made as stamps converted to electronic form).

By creating this book I improved my skills as book designer in whole new level :). So thank you Masa for giving me this opportunity.

More photos of the book are visible here.
